Blackpool Brass is a concert & contest band. We rehearse Tuesday & Friday nights from 8.00pm until 9.45pm at our bandroom inside Bispham Conservative Club on Red Bank Road, Bispham (map)

We are a friendly and social band and always welcome players, whether you're thinking of coming regularly or just want to come along for a blow.

The Con Club is our regular haunt for a drink after rehearsal and also provides us with a great base for the bands social functions!

Blackpool Brass also runs a training band which meets at the bandroom every Tuesday and rehearses from 6.30pm until 7.30pm. Instruments can be provided and attendance is completely free of charge. Details can be found here.

Chris' musical journey began when, as a seven year old, he was taken to the local brass band in Preston, by his grandfather, and started to play the cornet. Since then his music has become almost his life with wide experience in brass bands, orchesteras, big bands and musical theatre. Not only is he still playing his trumpet but he is also a Musical Director for several organisations in and around the North West of England. He was proud to be the Musical Director with Blackpool Operatic Players for their recent outstanding production of "Singin' in the Rain" at The Grand Theatre, Blackpool. Chris is now at Blackpool Brass for a second stint, as Musical Director, and is hoping to help build the band with the aim of re-establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with.

Blackpool Brass are searching for a long term Resident Musical Director! We are a friendly, committed and social band looking to stabilise and cement ourselves in the 3rd section with a view to build and progress to the 2nd section.
